Fountains of Rome: An Architectural Perspective

WoD on Vimeo: A popular symbol of Rome is found in its an endless display of water. These almost banal systems were carefully designed, adorned, and strategically placed within the city as constant reminders to the general public of powerful patrons responsible for providing drinkable water.  These reminders take the form of public fountains that decorate the winding streets of Rome and hold particular characteristics of their own from classical art to symbolic representations and gestures. This video depict the ongoing investigation into the relationship of water and architecture in the city of Rome.
